Soviet and American forces meet at the Elbe River in Torgau, Germany....cutting Germany in half. The Soviets are given full responsibility for seizing Berlin and bringing an end to Nazi Germany.

Soviet forces encircled Berlin, the capital of Germany, and fought block by block to reach the Reichstag Building. This marked the end of World War II.
